The user page has the following areas:

Parameters

User name

The user name must be unique for each trader to allow for the unique authentication of the user during login.

Example: If all users of a customer are called "User" the MDM cannot check the password and access to the catalogue system is refused.

Password

The MDM automatically creates a password which can be overwritten in the MDM by one's own password.

Active

With the label "Active" the access to the catalogue systems and modules is controlled. As long as a user is not "active" he cannot log into the catalogue systems. If the label "Active" is removed, the user can also no longer log into the catalogue systems.

Addresses

Contact

The area "Addresses" does not contain any mandatory fields!

Customers with users at different locations can also enter the addresses of the locations for their users. Users with identical or almost identical data can be created via the action menu "Copy user".

Subscribers:

Whether and which modules are available for selection is defined by the catalogue publisher (licensee of the TOPMOTIVE catalogue). The catalogue publisher also defines the modules for the different catalogue types, i.e. there may be modules which are available for an online catalogue but not for a DVD-based catalogue.
